How to Pair ReSound Hearing Aids to an iPhone – Soundwave Hearing Care
In this video, I’m going to show you how to connect your ReSound hearing aids to your iPhone and your ReSound Smart 3D app. So, what you're going to do for these hearing aids is go to your settings. You need to ensure that your Bluetooth® is turned on, and then, you're going to scroll down until you see “Accessibility”. Scroll down until you see “Hearing and Hearing Devices”, with the little ear.
And then, to put your hearing aids into pairing mode if you have a standard battery, you’re going to need to open and close the battery door. To put them into pairing mode if you have a rechargeable hearing aid, you’re going to put them into the charger until you see a flashing light, and then remove them from the charger.
As you can see here, we have Les’s right and left hearing aids not paired. If we hit “Not Paired”, we should get two pairing requests; one for the left and one for the right.
And as you can see, now they are paired. If we go to the back screen, Les’s hearing aids are now showing in blue, and it says connected. What this means is that the hearing aids are now connected to the phone. So, any sound coming through the phone, like a phone call or text alert, will automatically route through the hearing aids.
Now, the next step will be to connect the hearing aids to the ReSound Smart 3D app. So, you’re going to go to your app. It does need access to Bluetooth, so we will allow and hit “Ok”. Now, as you can see, Les’s hearing aids are connected. We’re just going to continue and follow the prompts here.
This can take a few minutes, so do be patient with it.
Now the connection has been secured and, now again, you will have to restart your hearing aids. If you have a standard battery, open and close. If you have a rechargeable, simply put it in the charger. We’re going to continue through this, so bear with me there.
Now this is essentially allowing you to use your location. I typically say “While Using the App” and I’ll say no to that there. Now, this is the app; most of you will know how to use your app. If you do have any questions or concerns, you can always give us a call and book an appointment, and one of our clinicians will be happy to go over it with you. Other than that, that is how you connect it to your iPhone.
