Our team consists of both audiologists and hearing aid practitioners. Here is a brief overview of both:

Audiologists

When compared to other roles in hearing health care, audiologists are typically backed by the most education. Audiologists usually have either a masters or doctorate in the field of audiology for a total of 6 to 9 years of education. Audiologists are licensed and trained to offer:

  • Comprehensive audiological evaluations – how you hear and listen from the ear to the brain
  • Hearing care for all ages, from infants to seniors
  • Balance/dizziness disorder testing
  • Design, selection, and fitting of listening devices
  • Rehabilitation therapy for hearing disorders
  • And much more

Hearing aid practitioners

Unlike audiologists, hearing aid practitioners have more on-the-job training but many also have two year associates degrees in hearing instrument science. Hearing aid practitioners are able to offer:

  • Adult hearing tests
  • Hearing aid fitting, sales and ongoing care
